WildOak by Terra Mater — Collection Guide
Choosing between Donato, Arlo and Odo
The three standard plank collections share the same 1900×190mm footprint but differ in veneer thickness and construction. Donato uses a 2mm oak veneer on a 14mm board, making it the entry point in the WildOak range with a wire-brushed surface and a Janka rating of 7.0. Arlo and Odo both carry a 3mm veneer, which adds more character in the wood grain and allows for sanding and refinishing down the track. Odo is built on a 15mm board with a multiply core, giving it slightly more underfoot rigidity, while Arlo sits at 14mm with a Swedish Dynea adhesive-bonded SPF core and a 5G Välinge locking system for a very fast floating install.
Herringbone options
Both Arlo and Odo are available in herringbone format. The Arlo Herringbone plank is 888×148mm and the Odo Herringbone is 850×150mm — sizes chosen specifically so the pattern works without awkward cuts at room edges. Herringbone is direct stick only and suits spaces where you want the floor to be a feature element.
Origins — wide board format
The Origins range extends the WildOak lineup with a 2200×220mm board — noticeably wider than the standard 190mm collections. The wider format suits open-plan living and dining areas where a more expansive floor plane is the goal. It carries the same 3mm oak veneer and Klumpp matte lacquer finish as Arlo.
Underfloor heating compatibility
All WildOak collections support both floating and direct stick installation. If you are installing over hydronic or electric underfloor heating, check the individual product specification before purchasing as maximum subfloor temperature limits apply. Our team at Dandenong South can advise on which collections are rated for your heating system.
